Actor Rajesh Kumar, widely known for playing Rosesh in the hit sitcom ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’, is back in the spotlight with a powerful return to films, and his latest project ‘Saiyaara’, directed by Mohit Suri, has brought him praise and attention. And, he couldn’t be happier.

In ‘Saiyaara’, Rajesh Kumar plays the role of actress Aneet Padda’s on-screen father. The film has already won hearts at the box office, and he sees it as the perfect start to his second innings in cinema.

Speaking to ANI, the actor said, “It still feels unreal. After all these years, coming back with such a film is something I’m truly grateful for. Every actor in the movie has been appreciated, and even my role, though not huge, has been noticed. That’s all an artist hopes for.”

Rajesh spoke warmly about the experience on set. “The whole team was focused on making something special. No one was working just for themselves. Everything we did was for Mohit Suri’s vision. The love we’re getting, the packed shows and positive reviews, prove that we were on the right path,” he said.

He believes ‘Saiyaara’ has done more than just entertain, it has created a ripple effect. “This film didn’t just impact the audience. It created a whole ecosystem for us actors, for the team, and even for the local businesses around cinemas. That’s how powerful good cinema can be,” he explained.

Rajesh also reflected on how different generations connect to different films. “Every generation has that one film that they remember forever. For some it was ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’, for others it was ‘Aashiqui’. Now, ‘Saiyaara’ is becoming that film for this generation,” he said. “People relate to it because it feels real and emotional.”

Talking about being part of ‘Saiyaara’, he said it felt like a “dream come true.” With a big banner like YRF backing the project and a fresh young cast making their debut, Rajesh felt everything came together perfectly.

Looking back on his career, he said, “Earlier, I did just a couple of films. But now, there’s demand for strong character roles like mine. I feel like I’ve returned at the right time. I’m exploring new roles, and I’m excited about this journey.”

He also teased what’s next. Rajesh hinted at upcoming projects with well-known directors Anurag Kashyap and Amit Rai.
